A few words about me..
I was born in England but was raised in Greece. Today I spend my time between Greece and Canada.
I found out about my artistic character when I had a lifechanging experience in 2001. A car accident left me with extreme burn injuries on my body but also extreme determination to survive.
Facing the possibility of having my right hand and foot amputated, required a lot of willpower to accept this new reality and scarred body. But I wasn't ready to give up without a fight. I struggled to find ways to use my injured hands and I challenged myself with embroidery at first, then mosaic and painting.
I have been painting ever since my injuries and although creating was hurting me physically at the early stages of my recovery, it was the only thing that soothed me mentally and helped me go through some really dark moments, when life was hard and the pain unbearable.
Creating art had become my body and soul therapy that helped me make a remarkable recovery and beat the odds of possible amputations.
Over the years I developed my skills on drawing and painting, I became a member of the Greek artists Association and participated in numerous exhibitions in Europe and Canada. Many of my paintings have found a new home in Spain, France, Italy, Serbia, UK, Germany, Greece, Brazil, US, Canada, Cyprus and has been awarded by the circle of arts foundation.
My humble burning desire as an artist is to share my passion for life, my love for the world and my optimism for the future.
I am a self taught artist with passion to bring life to blank canvasses using my emotions and love for nature. Trees fascinate me for all the similarities they share with humans. On some of my paintings you will find materials like real bark and pieces of wood to represent life, and metal pieces to represent strength..
Thank you for visiting my site, I would love to hear from you...
My humble burning desire is to share
..my passion for life,
..my love for the world and my optimism for the future.
"It can be the sun setting or rising
...a leaf of a tree against the wind.
...a child laughing or an adult shedding a tear..
I would say,
life inspires me because it is so precious
that I just want to hold on to moments forever."
